“SMX” stands for the grape varieties used in this excellent red wine Merlot, Syrah, Xinomavro from the Amyndeo region in Greece .
The wine's color is characterized by its brilliant ruby hue. On the palate, it leaves a rich and rounded flavor. The aroma is composed of wild berries, plums, vanilla, mocha coffee, and wood. The Ktima has a distinctive finish with a lingering hint of wild berries and spices.
This SMX Ktima red wine is aged for 18 months in French Allier barrels and is not filtered at all.
The dry SMX Ktima red wine tastes excellent with dark meats served with sweet or spicy sauces, but also harmonizes particularly well with (fried) Kefalograviera.
