Graviera PDO (250g) Naxos
Graviera from Naxos is a traditional Greek hard cheese with a Protected Designation of Origin (PDO) made from a unique blend of 80% cow's milk and 20% sheep's milk. It is produced by the EAS agricultural cooperative on Naxos, which sources milk from approximately 500 local farmers. This close connection to the island and the strict origin requirements entitle it to the official EU label as a quality product with Protected Designation of Origin.
Thanks to the high proportion of cow's milk, the cheese develops a mild, delicately sweet flavor that clearly distinguishes it from other Greek hard cheeses. Its balanced structure makes it a true delight both on its own and in hot dishes—for example, grated over pasta, in gratins, or as a fine accompaniment to wine.
Special features:
– Graviera PDO from the island of Naxos – Made from 80% cow’s milk and 20% sheep’s milk – Mild, slightly sweet and aromatic – Ideal for cold platters or warm dishes
